A SUMMARY
Learn the precise skill that is Paper Flower making. From Daisies to Hydrangeas to Roses, the flower kingdom is so vast that the possibilities for this craft day are endless. You will start you day off by choosing a flower that you like. We can do a little research to make sure that we are doing each species justice. Once we have decide on a flower we can start sketching out the petal patterns. Hand paint every petal. Use and X-acto knife to get that accurate finish that nature does all my itself. Then start to construct our flowers. This process can be fiddly but it will all be worth it in the end when you come away with a stunning cluster of flowers. This craft day is 5 hours long. As I am sure most people understand, it can very difficult to coordinate a date and group. So if this course is something that you are interested in, please message me to coordinate a date, time and group size that works for you.
About your mentor
Nicola Stephenson
When your mentor provides a strapline it will go here
My mother is an Art teacher, my Sister studies History of Art, it only seemed fitting that I follow suit and start doing some art course too. Having grown up in a home where arts and crafts didn't seem like a special occasion, it was just what we did everyday. I was and still am surprised when people tell me that they did not do a lot of art growing up, or that they do not believe that they could do anything creative. The countless amount of times that I would be ‘Doodling’ or just messing around with a craft project and I would hear someone say, “I wish I could do something like that, but I just wouldn't know where to even start,” How many people are missing out on the mindfulness, creativity and fun of learning new crafts just because they don't have the time, resources or confidence to just 'have a go'? I want to make it easy for you to be creative, to try new things, to learn in your own time, and to make something you really want to have or use. I have taught in London, as a tutor in Forest Row and at a Summer Camp in France. I studied Ceramics and Art for 10 years.
