Follow @elementalartuk for updates. ◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇ tREe CONNECTION ~ Women's art retreat Meet the Queen and Mother of the Woods, The Beech Tree Through... ○ Forest bathing ○ Singing, journaling & drawing ○ Creating a visionary painting ○ Women’s hearth & Sharing circle ~ This retreat will be held in a woodland which is off road and offgrid. ◇ There will be an intimate group of women gathered around a hearth set in an Iron Age Forge in a beautiful bluebell woodland near Forest Row, Sussex. ◇ Vegetarian dinner on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday, tea and art materials are included. ◇ Camping is close to our hearth in a private woodland. You will need to bring a tent and light weight bedding to carry on a 15 minute walk across fields. ◇ Please bring 》Warm clothes for being outside 》Sturdy outdoor footwear for crossing fields 》A headtorch. 》Toiletaries. There is a primitive compost toilet in the woods and a brewery onsite which has a toilet. Please click 'contact' for any further information or needs you may have - or email ask@elementalart.uk. ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ DATE: June 3rd - 4th, 2023 Arrive 3.30pm, Saturday June 3rd ~ This will give you time to arrive, be led across fields to the woods, set up your camp and settle before dinner time which will be at 6pm. In the evening, we will share a hearty meal, have an opening circle and singing around the hearth. The following day, we will meet the land in which we awake with other women. We will spend the following morning amongst the tree community with a focus on connecting with the beech tree through forest bathing, singing, journaling & drawing. After lunch, inspired by the morning's experiences, Karina will guide the group to each create a simple but personal visionary painting to take home with you. Artist, Karina has over 10 years experience in teaching art and facilitating creative events to all ages in many different settings such as schools, private homes and public spaces like the Barbican & Southbank Centre. She has trained as a Forest school leader and some of the other trainings she has taken are in Permaculture Design, Catalysing Active Citizenship, Sharing Creative Practice.
