What we'll do
There will be chance in this workshop to enter into an embodied practice that responds to the wonderful symbolism and inspiration that trees offer us. Rooted deeply in the ground, while stretching up for the sky, still exhibiting wholeness with all the wounding and traumas they might bear, and interconnected in a multi species community at all times, they attract and deserve our admiration. Treeyoga is a fun and yet deep practice that encourages us to interact with the trees from different perspectives while tending to our own bodies through gentle movement and stillness. You will be invited to explore poses and flows to the extent that meets your body's needs in the moment, while taking care. When we open up to our own bodies, exploring the way we can extend and create space, we also release tension and somatic holding which builds up through our day-to-day emotional processing and stresses. Treeyoga can be done with barefoot or trainers on, but stretchy / loose trousers are best.
