A summary
- Please arrive 10-15 mins before the workshop start time - Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move in - layers are good - Wear closed shoes - leather or similar if possible - no bare feet, sandals or flip flops will be allowed. - If the workshop is outdoors - please bring anything you might need to be warm, sunglasses if you use them, sunscreen if summer (applied before arrival). Anything with dangling fabric around your upper body will not be safe - Please wash your hands before the start time Please be aware that not everyone actually gets a knife in the board on their first workshop - if you don't, I don't see this as a failure and neither should you. The achievement is turning up and being part of the workshop, not the act of hitting the board. That said we do have a high knife in board rate so it's quite likely that you will hit the board. About your mentor
Annabelle Holland
International Knife Thrower!
One of very few female knife throwers in the world, Annabelle performs internationally, in cabaret & street theatre to make people laugh and turn tradition on it's head by throwing knives at men! As well as for entertainment, she uses her work to highlight and educate about patriarchy and it's affect on all genders, feminism and coercive control. Funded by Arts Council England she has developed workshops for female & non-binary empowerment & confidence building (non performers) for participants to overcome obstacles and bring new confidence into their lives. Her ethos is - we can all do anything as long as we beleive in ourselves, working with strong group dynamics, creating a warm, fun and supportive environment. Annabelle is happy to talk about delivering similar workshops with a different focus, men, mixed groups and people 16+ - please contact her to talk about this. With high safety standards, PLI insurance, Mental Health First Aid certificate and training from SARSAS & Safer Spaces she is well qualified to support attendees.

Cancellation Policy
I am not able to offer refunds in general but may be able to if there is good notice.- In the case of an event/organisation who has booked a full course - full fee will be required if cancelling within one month of the activity - In the case of a self-promoted course - full fee will be required within 2 weeks of cancellation but am happy to talk about individual cases as they arise. - In the case of a mentor cancelling it is most likely that an event will be re-scheduled instead of refund but if attendee is not able to attend the new date we can discuss a full refund

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
