Led by Charli Sparks (E-RYT500hrs + RYS200hrs + YACEP Trainer) KulaKids brings Support, Inspiration, Self Belief, Empowerment + Education to the Child's Development from 0-18yrs through Movement inspired from Yoga, Dance + Acrobatics, Mindfulness, Creativity, Nutrition, Song, Poetry, Sacred Sound + Storytelling. No matter what challenges the child; Physical, Mental, Emotional or Environmental, this Course will equip you with the tools to deliver the right guidance at the appropriate time for the Child and their journey.

I have created this course to share to others how we can help children feel more whole within. Working with children all my life in the wellbeing industry has given me a great insight into children and their unique individual ways of being, all rightly deserving to be seen, heard, valued and encouraged to be themselves. Teaching Yoga, Acrobatics, Dance, Mindfulness, Meditation, Breathwork, VibroAcoustic Therapy, Freedom Movement in groups + holding space for private tuition for children. My ultimate aim is to bring joy and confidence to the children so they can feel comfortable and wholeness within. Leading classes, workshops, camps and retreats for children and families in various countries as well as the UK over the years has given me a huge insight into how children need our loving conscious support now more than ever. A mamma to 4 children, 2 dogs and devoted to her life partner Matt. Off the mat we aim to live a life full of heart, compassion, creativity, empathy with an ethical ethos in everything we do….whether its making a fire, getting messy in the kitchen, walking in the forest, to dancing our hearts out or singing karaoke with family and friends. We live a simple but full life in East Sussex, UK. Learning aims
Aim 1
Syllabus Content Overview Techniques, Training + Practices Yoga based practices appropriate for child development, such as;- asana based movement : Yoga Rhythm, Dance, Acrobatics, Creative sequencing, themed, yoga based games, mindfulness, meditation, breathing techniques, chanting and sacred sound, poetry + inspirational creative writing, art exploration.
Aim 3
Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle + Ethics for Yoga Teachers Includes basic yoga precepts as they relate to children and to teaching Yoga to children e.g Yamas, Niyamas. Awareness of ethical behaviour, county and local legal requirements as related to behaviour with and supervision of children. Specific training in parameters and techniques of ethical touch with regards to teaching children. Basics of ethical language and behaviour, both when parents or guardians are present and when they are not.
Aim 5
Methodology Knowledge of classroom techniques, class plan structure, health and safety applications, group processing for childrens activities, age appropriate teaching skills for Yoga Class Techniques (inc. how to phrase appropriate questions to a child) Effective communication skills (such as songs, stories) for working with the children. General Background in the Speciality Area (11hrs) Incldues the study and understanding of all childhood development stages from 0-18yrs. Supporting children with special needs with Physical, Mental or Emotional limitations such as; Autism, ADHD, Cerebal Palsy, Dyspraxia, Wheel Chair Users, Behavourial Issues etc. How the issues of each stage impact what is appropriate for teaching them. Includes the understanding of the yoga teachers' relationship with parents/guardians and developmental specialists and basic communication skills for conducting those relationships.
Aim 2
Anatomy + Physiology Anatomy + Physiology relating specifically to changes during child development and their application to yoga techniques. Study of the subject and application of its principles to yoga practice benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns etc. Human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs etc), Energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis etc relating to the child's development)
Aim 4
Practicum (18hrs) A combination of the Trainee observing, participating and teaching various childrens classes as case studies. Either taught over a series of classes (block) or holding workshop or 'camps' for children to attend.

To have teachers who maintain Health+Safety, Quality, Value + Personal Touch at all times. To create versatile teachers who have the confidence to be 'hands on' with clients, who can teach in a variety of dimensions such as Schools, 1:1, Workshops, Retreats, Group classes safely and compassionately. To support and encourage individuals to pursue specific areas of interest and provide an opportunity to explore new areas in relation to this. To allow individuals to enjoy the journey of self-discovery and to have the freedom to complete the course for your own personal development as well as sharing your new found wisdom to your client base. Methods of Learning - Led by Charli Sparks + supported with our Guardian Elder. - Lectures from Primary Faculty Teacher Charli Sparks + Guest Experts. - Unpaid work experience - teaching 1xcase study over a period of 6 weeks. - Personal practice. - Home study. Homework diary for thoughts, reflection, queries etc. - Partner+Group Practical exercises. - Group Constructive Feedback. - Assignment Hours. - Supervision Hours. 1xPractical Assessment. 1xTheory Assessment. - 1xManual to be created by Teacher Trainees as well as receiving various Module Booklets for the Teacher Training Course to refer to as well as researching form various resources to complete assignments. Who is the course suitable for? Individuals looking for further self-development. Individuals wanting to become KulaKids Teachers and learn additional skills to compliment their current qualification of Yoga or other skillsets within their professional vocation. 200hrs Registered Yoga Teacher This course is also suitable for those who are in the Dance, Fitness, Wellbeing + Therapeutic Industry looking to enhance their skills and learn new tools to apply to their profession. Course Requirements - All potential Trainees are required to attend an informal interview before being accepted onto the course to answer any further questions with regards to the course and to ensure the course is right for them. - Completed application form. - Attendance on all training days, no more than 1 day absence is permitted. - Any missed modules or part-modules must be made in home study assignments. - Assessments - 1 Practical 1 Theory. - Homework - Diary, Personal Practice, Reading, Practice 'subjects' and create your own manual including class plans. - Training Dates : 3rd/4th/5th/24th/25th/26th February 3rd/4th/5th March 9.30-5.30pm - Upon acceptance and registration you will receive a reading list in advance to prepare yourself for topics covered. 'if we fail to prepare, we prepare to fail' Upon completion of the course you will receive ongoing aftercare, support, be part of a social network of like minded teachers, have the opportunity to teach on retreats, workshops, festivals, events as well as your regular classes. Fees £395 if you only register for the age group you would like to teach. (Preschool, Primary school or Secondary School Module) We offer additional flexible interest free payment plans, we want our course to be available to all regardless of your financial position. Terms & Conditions • The first £550 of the fee paid is a non-refundable deposit. • In the event of cancellation you will receive a full refund less the £550 deposit up until 6 weeks prior to the course commencing. • For cancellations 3 weeks prior to the course commencing you will receive a credit for our services, products, courses, retreats or training to the full amount paid, less the £550 deposit. • For cancellations less than 3 weeks notice to the course commencing, no refund or credit can be offered. • There is no refund if you leave the training early for any reason.

My experience is an educational activity and the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 therefore applies. After the 14 day period my standard policy will apply.
