A one-day course in delicate forgework & forming.
The student will hand forge a copper bar into a different section form, using a charcoal fired clay forge hearth with leather bellows.
Create an intricate replica style ring of those worn by the Celtic peoples.
Such rings were found during archaeology excavations at a site of a crannog (lake village) in the county of Somerset.
With expert guidance, you will learn to carefully use a hammer to achieve bending techniques to form a perfect ring to fit the desired finger.
Location: set within an ancient woodland upon a period Celtic Iron Age fort at Chiddinglye Estate, West Hoathly, East Sussex, RH19 4QS
