A summary
Longtown Outdoor Learning Centre is a multi-activity outdoor centre situated on the Herefordshire and Monmouthshire border in the rural village of Longtown.   We offer fun and challenging outdoor adventure activities in and around the Brecon Beacons National Park and Black Mountains from our village base. Our multi-activity courses aim to promote resilience, self-confidence, consideration for others, caring for the environment and the benefits of an active outdoor lifestyle. This comes from enjoying the successes achieved through personal endeavour and working together, in wild and beautiful landscapes. Since 1964 we have been providing groups of children and young people with adventurous residential breaks and day visits from our action packed 16 acre site on the Herefordshire and Monmouthshire border. Our dedicated and attentive team of Outdoor Tutors and Activity Instructors look after groups every step of the way ensuring that every child experiences an exhilarating and memorable visit regardless of age, ability and mobility.

What's included
During the first week of the summer holidays, children aged 8 to 14 will choose from a range of adventurous outdoor activities such as stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing, climbing, high ropes, mountain walk, gorge walk and caving. Free breakfast, packed lunch, snack and cooked dinner are provided daily. FREE return transport for your child is available from the Oval, Hereford each day (please tick that you require this when booking). Transport meeting point is Subway, The Oval, Belmont, Hereford HR2 7HG. Please drop your child off at 9am collect at 5.15pm. If you are delivering and collecting your child to the centre our postcode is HR2 0LD. Please arrive by 9.30am and park and wait in our car park for our instructors to meet you. Please collect children at 4.30pm from the centre carpark. A maximum entitlement of 16 hours per week per child. Children should come dressed for a day outdoors with a warm coat, waterproof footwear and a complete change of clothes. Please see the kit list on the link below. Parental Consent
Longtown Outdoor Learning Trust (LOLT) is a licensed provider of adventurous activities for young people. A Risk Benefit Analysis has been completed for all activities and a Risk Management System is in place. By placing a booking for your child to attend you are providing consent for the child named to take part in adventurous activities with inherent risk.  In order to manage the risks appropriately, we request that all participants inform the LOLT staff team regarding any medical issues, or disabilities that may affect their ability to participate. Furthermore, by placing a booking for your child to participant, you are certifying that they are in suitable physical and mental state to undertake this activity.

Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.
