What we'll do
We'll do the activities listed below with a break for lunch. Every day - please bring a pair of gloves for sledging, dress for the weather and wear trainers. On skiing and snowboarding days you'll need long sleeves and trousers as well as gloves. We'll provide a cooked lunch every day except the watersports day when we'll take a packed lunch with us to the venue. Thursday 25 July - archery and low ropes course Friday 26 July - kayaking in the swimming pool and high ropes course (swimming gear required) Monday 29 July - skiing and archery (long sleeves, trousers and gloves required) Tuesday 30 July - water sports day at a local lake (full change of clothes required) Wednesday 31 July - bushcraft and low ropes course Thursday 1 August - orienteering and kayaking in the swimming pool (swimming gear required) Friday 2 August - rock climbing and raft building in the swimming pool (swimming gear required) Monday 5 August - leap of faith and Jacob's ladder (high ropes activities) Tuesday 6 August - abseil and skiing (long sleeves, trousers and gloves required) Wednesday 7 August - bush craft and orienteering Thursday 8 August - high ropes course and kayaking in the swimming pool (swimming gear required) Friday 9 August - rock climbing and snowboarding ***This activity has been funded through the Department for Education’s (DfE) Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme and coordinated by East Sussex County Council. Fully funded places are available for young people eligible for benefits-related free school meals. This eligibility criteria has been defined by the DfE. Additionally young people in several other target cohorts can attend funded places, such as those with SEND or Looked After Children (LAC). Please note, eligibility will be confirmed as part of the booking process.***

Bowles has a team of instructors who will be leading activities during the school holidays. They are all have specialist qualifications and experience of working with children.

Things they'll need
We will be outside every day in all weathers. Please wear lots of warm clothes and waterproofs. Long trousers, long sleeves and gloves are important to take part in some activities. We will provide lunch, but you'll need to bring a water bottle with you. We plan to go sledging on our dry slopes every day so children will need to bring gloves, long sleeves and trousers every day. Some activities take place in our heated indoor swimming pool - children will need normal swimming gear for these, plus a towel and a bag to keep it all in. We are running a water sports day - kayaking, canoeing and SUP-ing. Kids will need a full change of clothes to get wet (including shoes that won't float off so no flip-flops or crocs please) and a full set to put on afterwards.

These activity days are suitable for children in years 5, 6 and 7. While our instructors are experienced at working with a wide range of children, our activities aren't suitable for some children with SEND.
