What we'll do
We are very excited to offer our first half term session for a fabulous 4 hours of forest fun! Come and spend some quality time with your child/children around our fire circle and woodland. Would you like to learn how to create something interesting from green wood? Try a new woodland craft? Build a den? Relax in nature? Prepare, cook and eat lunch over the campfire? Learn new names for trees and plants? Make new friends? Share a new experience with your friends? Children aged 6-10 only with an accompanying adult. No non-walkers for this activity as you will be working with your child and helping them with various activities using tools.
About your mentor
Rebecca at Leafy Learners
I'm happiest in nature
I am a qualified teacher, Level 3 Forest Schools practitioner, mum, dog owner and lover of the outdoors. I love crafting with natural resources and cooking over the fire. It makes me smile when I see children and adults amazed by those tiny miracles in nature such as a spider making a web or a snail leaving a trail... to see others walk with wonder is just magical!
Important info
Where should we park? You can park in the Footgolf main carpark or follow the sign for more parking behind the Footgolf shop and to the right Where should we walk to? Walk behind the large white tent, towards the boat and adventure golf, behind the far goal post. You will find a grassy path (see photo) that snakes around behind the bushes to the left and will bring you out at our base. If you have good wellies on, then you can venture across the mud towards us in the woodland What should we wear? Dress for the weather and you won't be cold! Layers are key.... t-shirt, jumper, coat, waterproofs and wellies with extra socks. You can always remove a layer when we are around the fire What should we bring?
