A SUMMARY
We are passionate about Bushcraft because it is a beneficial and worthwhile addition to any child’s learning process. We'll have your children learning about the world they live in whilst building shelters, foraging and purifying water. They will also have the chance to light fires, use knifes and shoot bows and arrows in a safe environment. We believe it's safer to teach children the correct way to behave around potential dangers than sheltering them from it. Our 5-week (full day) course is aimed at (but not limited to) home schooled children between the ages of 6 to 16. It will cover Outdoor Education, Life Skills and basic Bushcraft (like Forest School on steroids). We aim to support the learning of traditional subjects like Science, Design and Technology (DT), History, Geography, PE and Citizenship, as well as the multiple intelligence theory. Hours: 10:00-16:00 (6 hours) Whole course cost: £125 Individual session cost: £25 Saturday 16th February = Fire Lighting Saturday 23rd February = Knife Craft and Camp Life Saturday 2nd March = Shelter Building Saturday 16th March= Water, Wild Food and Traps Saturday 23rd March = Orienteering and Survival Bracelets
