About your mentors
Wildly Curious
Outdoor educator
Hi, I'm Mel. Alarmed at the disconnect with the outdoors amongst the young people I worked with, I escaped from indoor primary school teaching after 23 years in 2016 and started my own outdoor learning business; Wildly Curious, making use of my background as a teacher and in Scouting. Since then, I have passed my IOL Bushcraft Competency Certificate and gained recognition as a Professional in Outdoor Learning. Much of my work with young people is based around developing bushcraft and traditional outdoor living skills. I also run bushcraft training sessions for adult groups such as the Wildlife Trust, the Woodcraft Folk, the Scout Association and Girl Guiding. I run bushcraft activities as part of the IOL Bushcraft PPG each year at the Bushcraft Show and the Wilderness Gathering, as well as workshops at the PPG conference and Excellence In Woodland. Wildly Curious has a YouTube channel too.
Nic Harding
Project's Officer at FSA
As the Project Officer, I'm pleased to be organising the annual Forest School Association Conference. I am appearing as a Mentor on each workshop to give me oversight and allow me to help out on the day, I may not actually be on your workshop.
