What we'll do

Please book a ticket on this listing for each child eligible for benefit-related Free School Meals. You will be asked some eligibility questions for each child when you checkout. Please note that parents/carers are required to attend our sessions with their children. Please see our other "NON HAF" listing to book tickets for adults plus other children that would like to attend but are not receiving Free School Meals. If there are HAF tickets still available but NON HAF is fully booked, please book your child a ticket and then message us so we can reserve you a place. We enjoy a healthy meal and lots of fun activities together. This includes making and crafting, table games, sports, garden games, singing, dancing, cooking, sensory toys and gardening activities amongst other things! We aim to offer different food and different activities at each session to keep things interesting!

Lisa Playford·Organiser of the food & fun :-)
My name is Lisa Playford and I am a Senior Community Development Worker managing the Willingdon Trees Community Centre for the benefit of all people living in the Hampden Park and surrounding areas of Eastbourne. The Community Centre is situated in the heart of the Willingdon Trees neighbourhood and is run by a small charity, the Trees Community Association Ltd, who work in partnership with Sussex Community Development Association. The Centre has been developed in a thriving and vibrant community hub, offering a space for affordable community hire, a venue for essential advice and support services, free to access social groups, opportunities for learning and volunteering, and an inclusive and friendly environment. The Centre is run by three part-time staff members and a team of fantastic volunteers.

Where to find us

We are located just off of Maywood Avenue on the 1a bus route. The Loop and 1 service also stop nearby. There is plenty of free parking at the front of the Centre. We aim to be accessible to everyone.

Cancellation

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.

No refunds are given except in the case of a cancellation by the Mentor.

If you book a place please consider that failure to attend is a wasted space that could be enjoyed by someone else and also leads to food waste. A £2 deposit is required to reserve non-free school meal eligible places and this is returned to customers in session. The deposit will be retained if the person booked on fails to attend. Repeated failure to attend booked sessions will result in future bookings being refused.
