Visit Tate Modern
Mentored by Bob Hamblett
For ages: 12 - 18 years
A SUMMARY
So you want to join the conversation? Art is philosophy expressed visually. After an introductory session to establish the meaning of terms – 'abstract', 'conceptual', lots of ISMs – we visit our art playground, Tate Modern, where participants explore and choose a small number of artworks that have made some kind of impact. After a week of more research and with guidance on offer via email the students present their reports to the group. In light of feedback, the report is finalised, ready for archiving. The 'module' spans over a week and can start whenever. Day 1: Session on Art terminology - Local venue Day 2: Visit to Tate Modern, London Day 3: Student presentations - Local venue Days 1 and 2 can take place in a house or venue of the group's choice or in my home.

Cancellation
My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
• No refunds are given except in the case of a cancellation by the Mentor.
• Cost of travel will be met by the participants. In a large group size there is more leeway for refunds.
