Ascension Inclusive Dance Groups

Introducing our 3 Ascension Inclusive Dance Groups Explore / Ages 6 - 8* (Paues for Autumn Term 2025) Venture / Ages 9 - 13 Journey / Ages 14 - 30 Time to spin, jump, move and play as part of your movement investigation in this new inclusive group aimed at young people with additional learning needs. A space to dive into the possibility of dance and build pride in new creative movement possibilities. Play, learn, create and dance in a space supported by Ladybug Lodge and Ascension Dance. Because we believe this is just the start of an epic movement adventure. Please note, the age groups rough brackets and young people who may be signposted to other groups depending on their engagement with the session and it's content. Explore / Ages 6 - 8 (Paused for Autumn Term 2025) In Explore, we encourage young people and parents to play, dance and explore the session themes together. Slide, lift, spin, jump and dance in an open session with a different theme to explore every week. Venture / Ages 9 - 13 In Venture, we start to develop cognitive skills and identification oof movement language. Use props to create short sequences and develop your understanding of colour, pattern and symbols through movement. Journey / Ages 14 - 30 Our performance group is for young people aged 14 - 30. Join these fun inclusive sessions that enable young people to improvise through stimulus and develop their own creative movement language.
