About your mentor
Lisa Punter Art
practicing artist sharing what I've learnt.
I'm a practicing artist specializing in painting and drawing landscapes and portraits. I have a batchelor of fine arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and 5 years experience of running an after school art club for primary school children. I started the after school art club while my children were still in primary school, and found that I loved the childrens' joy and enthusiasm for creating and working with new mediums. My aim is to create an art experience that is all-encompassing; giving both creative freedom and the ability to explore for themselves, as well as guided activities that raise confidence and know how. Each term your child will explore a different art medium, starting with drawing and moving on to painting, printing, mixed- media, sculpture and being inspired by the work of famous artists. As children learn best when they're having fun, I aim to create engaging and interesting lessons that include a bit of art theory and history without the children even realizing it!
