A summary
This is the Fifth block of lessons of my "Foundational ICT" lesson plan. The others can be found on my mentor profile. This term will build on skills and confidence developed during the earlier terms, especially keeping up our touchtyping practice to maintain and grow the skill. Primary teaching intentions are: Digital Clutter: Helping develop a fundamental understanding of the organisation and structure of files and folders on a computer, how files take up space", and how to best manage the organisation of their computers. 3D Modelling Creating 3D models using either Blender or a voxel-based modelling system, building on digital sculpting done last term and building in more advanced skills. Time permitting, a lesson on 3D printing (along with printing students' own models.)
About your mentor
Jason Eichner
A creative writing and IT educator!
I have worked in IT and cybersecurity my adult life, and have been teaching for several years. Outside of teaching, I work for myself building websites and programs for local businesses. I currently run several regular ICT groups in Forest Row, teaching young learners how to stay safe online whilst still enjoying the many wonderful avenues of learning and design IT opens up.
