What we'll do
Join us for an afternoon of sewing and learn how to make a beautiful tote bag for the summer. During this workshop you will learn: How to set up your sewing machine How to understand the different qualities of fabric How to sew and finish seams neatly How to insert a lining and a pocket How to add handles securely What's included: A large selection of fabric remnants Webbing for the bag handles All other materials needed If you would like to bring you own fabric, you will need half a metre each of main fabric (a medium weight cotton or linen) and lining fabric (a light weight cotton). All other materials are provided. Alison from The Oast Bakery will treat us to some of her delicious baking and plenty of teas and coffees to keep us going. You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, or use one of ours.
