What we'll do
~Learn about the evolution of hunting tools ~Use slate to craft an arrowhead ~Make cordage (Saturday only) ~Haft it onto a shaft ~Learn to make glue from pine resin to complete the project All within the context of working with groups of young people. We'll cover group management, risk assessments, recommended equipment and resources. I'll also show you how slate arrowheads can be made into pendants. Please note that there will be a £2 charge per person for materials for this workshop. Cash or card.

I'm Mel and I run Wildly Curious, which provides outdoor learning experiences for young people. We mainly focus on bushcraft and traditional living skills. I'm a trained teacher with 30 years experience, a Scout Leader and an IOL Professional in Outdoor Learning.
