For HAF-funded places for this event, please book via the Zoe's Party Animals – "Holiday Club Including HAF" listing. Science Day at Kids Club Looking for something a little different this summer? Join us for a full day of hands-on science activities led by one of our brilliant team members, a qualified secondary school Science teacher specialising in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Children will take part in a variety of exciting experiments and investigations throughout the day. We'll be making things fizz, bubble, crackle and pop while exploring the science behind what happens. There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved, ask questions and try things out for themselves. Alongside the science activities, we'll also be enjoying some fun outdoor games and challenges, with a barbecue lunch included. Perfect for children who love finding out how things work, getting hands-on and trying something new. A fun, engaging day of experiments, discovery and plenty of excitement along the way.

What started as a simple idea has grown into something truly special — a place where children don’t just attend a session… they experience it. Our Team Zoe’s Party Animals isn’t just me. I’m incredibly lucky to be supported by a small, dedicated team who help create the warm, family-friendly atmosphere we’re known for. We’re not just animal lovers — we’re experienced professionals with backgrounds in SEND support, education, care work, and animal welfare. Together, we create an environment that’s inclusive, nurturing, and full of fun — where every child and every guest is treated with kindness, patience, and respect. More Than Just Childcare We offer more than supervision — we create opportunities. At Zoe’s Party Animals, children are encouraged to thrive, build confidence, and learn new skills. Whether they’re handling animals, exploring nature, developing teamwork, or simply stepping outside their comfort zone, every session is designed to support growth in a hands-on, engaging way. We believe in learning through experience and fostering curiosity. Because childhood should be adventurous, educational, and filled with wonder.

Useful information

Dress for the weather: Our club is mostly outdoors, so please wear suitable clothing. Boots or wellies are recommended for our Autumn and Winter sessions. Bring a water bottle: Stay hydrated! No energy drinks allowed. No phone policy: We encourage kids to enjoy being kids and live in the moment. Parking: Where possible, walk to the club or, if safe, park on Nottingham Road and walk down our drive. Animals onsite: We have horses, snakes, guinea pigs, chickens, rabbits, tortoises and dogs, and a whole lot more – all part of the experience! Location note: 34 Nottingham Rd, Selston, NG16 6DE Look out for the HAF flag. We are next door, not down the farm track.

Learning aims

Aim 1

To inspire curiosity, encourage exploration and help children discover the wonder of science through hands-on experiences. Our aim is to get children thinking, questioning and fully immersed in the excitement of learning something new.

Aim 2

Promote healthy lifestyles by learning basic kitchen skills, helping to prepare nutritious meals and developing a deeper understanding of good nutrition.

Aim 3

Strengthen social skills and teamwork through shared activities, group challenges and outdoor play.
