A summary

Our drama class runs every Saturday from 11:15am to 12:45pm. Sessions will include warm-up, drama games and activities and then move onto our performance project. The performance project varies each term from devising a piece for performance on our stage, developing characters, improvisation skills, creating radio plays, murder mystery performances, script work and much more. With many of our performance projects students get the opportunity to perform on the Marina Theatre stage in one of our community productions.

Our drama classes are taught by our drama facilitator Andrea who has extensive experience teaching drama skills and acting techniques. Andrea trained with Guildford School of Acting, LAMDA and at Rose Bruford. She has worked as a professional performer and drama teacher for several years and has appeared in numerous professional productions. She also has extensive experience teaching drama in schools.

Additional rehearsals and classes are on occasion taught by Lorna our Community Manager who has several years experience teaching drama both in the USA and in the UK. She has experience directing productions for children and adults. She is also known for her events planning and management skills in the community and in her younger years spent several years working in the entertainment industry as a singer, presenter and actor.
