Youth Sports Leaders Course (CIMSPA-Aligned) Age Group: 14–16 years Duration: 2 Days Places available : 15 spaces Course Overview: This engaging and practical two-day course introduces young people to the fundamentals of leadership in sport and physical activity. Aligned with CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity) standards, it builds confidence, teamwork, and communication skills, while developing leadership qualities through sport. Day 1 – Foundations of Leadership in Sport - Introduction to leadership roles in sport - Building confidence and communication skills - Understanding health, safety, and safeguarding basics - Planning and delivering fun, inclusive mini-activities - Team-building exercises and peer collaboration Day 2 – Practical Leadership & Delivery - Leading warm-ups, skill games, and group sessions - Adapting activities for different needs and abilities - Giving feedback and promoting fair play - Assessment through peer-led activity sessions - Reflection and leadership pathway discussion
