Hey there! We’re LPW Yate Youth, your go-to spot for awesome hangouts in the Yate area! If you’re aged 13-18, come join us for open youth sessions where the fun never stops. Whether you want to chill with your mates or make new friends, we’ve got a safe, warm, and super welcoming space just for you. Challenge your crew to a game of pool, score big in sports, or dive into some epic PS4 and Xbox action! Feeling creative? We’ve got weekly craft and cooking sessions where you can unleash your inner artist or chef. Plus, every session includes free tasty food to keep your energy up! Throughout the summer we will offer different weekly themes for our games, activities and food, giving your young people a chance to try lots of new and different activities. Week 1 23rd & 24th July - Carnival Week - Step right up to a week full of fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories! Carnival Week transforms the entire space into a colorful, high-energy wonderland where excitement meets creativity every day Week 2 30th & 31st July - Gameshow Week - Step into the spotlight for a week of high-stakes fun, friendly competition, and nonstop laughs! Game Show Week transforms the youth club into a studio set, where kids are the stars, the trivia is tricky, and every challenge comes with a twist. Week 3 6th & 7th August - Sports Week - Get ready to run, play, and have a blast! Sports Week is turning our youth club into a super fun zone full of games, challenges, and team spirit. Whether you're great at sports or just like to move around and have fun, there’s something awesome for everyone! Week 4 13th & 14th August - Science Week - A week of discovery, explosions (safe ones!), slime, and star-gazing awaits! Super Science Week transforms the youth club into a buzzing laboratory of imagination where curiosity leads the way Week 5 20th & 21st August - Animal Week - Get ready to ROAR with excitement! This week is packed with furry friends, creepy crawlies, animal-inspired crafts, and a special visit from ZooLab for up-close encounters with real exotic animals. It’s time to explore the animal kingdom like never before! At LPW Yate Youth, we don’t just provide fun—we support young people to grow and achieve amazing things beyond the classroom. We offer guidance and accreditation opportunities like the Duke of Edinburgh Award, South Glos Awards, and ASDAN to help your child build confidence, skills, and a sense of achievement. Our dedicated Youth Workers are here to support every step of the way—with a listening ear, a caring shoulder, and encouragement to help your child thrive. So why wait? Jamie-Leigh Sabin-Staines
Service Manager
At 17 whilst completing my A levels to become a forensic scientist I started volunteering at Youth Clubs and it changed the whole trajectory of my life, I fell in love with Youth Work and have been doing it ever since. I have a Level 3 Diploma in Youth and Community Work and hours and hours of training behind me on Mental Health, Sexual Health, Autism, SEN, Trauma Informed working and much more, with 17 years of Youth Work experience. I have been working in the Yate area for 8 years now and another 2 years previously, I currently manage the Youth provision at Brimsham Youth Wing, St Nix Youth Centre and the Urbie detached project in the area as Service Lead for Learning Partnership West

Service lead within South Glos at Learning Partnership west (LPW). Delivering on youth sessions within Yate and surrounding areas! Special interest in working with SEN & neurodivergent young people.

I am a full time engagement worker for Learning Partnership West. I have 13 years experience in youth work and enjoy all things creative and puzzling.
Learning aims
Aim 1
Build Confidence and Social Skills Encourage young people to develop self-confidence by participating in group activities, making new friends, and expressing themselves in a safe and supportive environment.
Aim 2
Develop Creativity and Practical Skills Provide opportunities to explore creative interests such as arts, crafts, cooking, and problem-solving projects that enhance fine motor skills and encourage imagination.
Aim 3
Promote Teamwork and Healthy Lifestyle Choices Foster teamwork and cooperation through sports and group games, while encouraging awareness of the importance of physical activity, nutrition, and positive habits.
