Worthy Earth Gardening Camp block mentored by Worthy Earth

A summary

During this Summer Camp, attendees will experience the joy of gardening, getting hands-on with growing fruit and vegetables. We will teach the basics of growing, enjoy spending quality time outdoors and tasting the organic produce in home-made lunches, grown on site. Attendees will contribute towards creating their own side-salads, learning a useful skill of creating healthy and delicious food. With some time for free-play, we aim for our camps to be a fun experience - memorable, and helping to sow the seeds of the future, potentially inspiring young people to get into gardening long term.

At Worthy Earth, we want every child to grow up knowing how to produce their own food and to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of organic food growing, whilst benefitting from the nutrient-dense produce that they grow! In our humble opinion, there is nothing more joyful than creating plant life, from seed, and eventually eating the fruits of your labour, learning the skills of patience, resilience and nurture along the way! Gardening can be enjoyed by all ages, adults and young people alike, but now more than ever, we feel that our young people could benefit from being outside more, eating healthy food, and nurturing our earth.
