What we'll do
We want to celebrate the Christmas festive season with fun, games and activities that will promote friendship and laughter. We will keep your children busy and happy during the exciting run up to Christmas day. Each morning will start with a free breakfast café, then we will go into games and art activities. We have a great room with pool, air hockey, table tennis and games set out just to play with a friend. Adults will help with art and craft sessions and fun and games in the marquee.
About your mentor
Workington Town Community Trust
Our strength is our friendship.
Workington Town Community Trust aims to promote physical and mental well-being for all in the West Cumbrian area. This will be achieved by providing high quality, personalized activities for all ages and abilities. We are fully inclusive and aim to help individuals achieve their full potential in a welcoming, caring and nurturing environment. We work closely with all 4 teams that play out of The Fibrus Community Stadium where we are based, Workington Town RLFC Men’s and Ladies Teams, Workington Town FC and Workington Netball Team. Our volunteers and players are part of the Derwent Park family which is at the heart of our Trust. As part of a sporting community, we encourage individuals to try new sports and activities in the knowledge that support, and guidance will always be there to help individuals develop the skills they need. We work alongside other sporting, educational, youth work and vulnerable adult groups. Our staff will willingly support other charities and community groups passing their skills on to others to engage them in positive physical activities with the aim to making better life choices. Our Trust is in its infancy and is currently receiving support and sponsorship from the TDA and NoName Travel LTD. We are extremely grateful for their involvement as it enables us to plan long term activities and programs to promote well being and healthy choices to the people in our community.
