What we'll do
Please note: This session is for SEND children and young people aged 4 - 16 years. An adult must stay throughout the session. If you will have non-eligible children with you (eg, children below full-time school age) you must declare this in the questions section, we only have a few extra sibling spaces available, therefore, if you bring a child you have not told us about none of the family will be able to stay for the session. During the two hour session children and young will have the opportunity to take part in a range of nature based activities, these may include: Natural Crafts Campfire lighting Preparing lunch Identifying flora and fauna Using tools Pond dipping Shelter building Mud kitchen Sessions that begin at 10am - There will be a snack available between 10 and 10.30am, weather permitting this will be toast which children toast themselves on the campfire. Fruit will also be available. At the end of the session there will be a packed lunch for each child to take home. Please bring a water bottle for your child so they can stay hydrated throughout the session. Sessions that begin at 10.30am or 12.30pm - Children will help to prepare lunch and this will be cooked on the campfire.

Connecting children and families to nature
We provide Forest and Beach School sessions, and special events run by qualified Forest School Leaders to children, young people, families, schools, and various organisations. Our sessions support nature connection and well-being, as well as learning and development through a programme of engaging activities including tool use, scavenger hunts, natural arts and crafts, and campfire lighting and cooking.

This session is suitable for children and young people with SEND accompanied by an adult, we do not provide a drop off service. If, in order to stay with you child at the session you need to bring a younger child along too please declare this in the questions section so we can accommodate them, we only have a few sibling spaces available.
