A summary
GLT Woodland Adventure Day – A Fun-Filled Outdoor Experience for Children Looking for a unique way for your child to connect with nature, make new friends, and enjoy the great outdoors? Green Light Trust’s Woodland Adventure Day offers an exciting, safe, and engaging day out for children, packed full of nature-based activities designed to spark curiosity and joy. Our experienced and friendly team will lead the group through a variety of outdoor experiences, tailored to inspire creativity, teamwork, and a love of the natural world. From den building and nature crafts to woodland games and storytelling around the fire, there’s something for every child to enjoy. It’s a chance to disconnect from screens, breathe in fresh air, and let imaginations run wild among the trees. The day begins at 10.00am and runs until 3.00pm, giving children a full, immersive experience in one of our beautiful woodland settings. Throughout the day, we provide a variety of healthy snacks and drinks to keep everyone energised and hydrated. A shared lunch is also included – a wonderful opportunity for children to come together, build connections, and share stories of their adventures. Parents and guardians can rest assured that safety is our top priority. All activities are led by trained professionals who are fully DBS-checked and experienced in working with children in outdoor environments. We maintain high staff-to-child ratios to ensure every participant is well supported and included. We ask that all children come dressed in comfortable clothes that are suitable for a day outdoors. This means layers that can adapt to changing weather, sturdy footwear, and waterproofs just in case – we go ahead rain or shine! Our Woodland Adventure Days are a perfect introduction to the world of outdoor learning and are suitable for children of all abilities. Whether your child is a confident adventurer or new to outdoor play, our supportive team will make sure they have a memorable and enjoyable day. Places are limited, so early booking is advised. Come and discover the magic of the woods with us – where every child is free to explore, play, and grow.

About your mentor
Green Light Trust
Children & young people's woodland activities
Green Light Trust is an environmental education charity which runs programmes for children & young people in beautiful woodlands in Suffolk & Norfolk. It provides holiday activities for children & young people during school holidays based in the woods, where participants learn about nature, take part in outdoor activities, have a go at wood crafting and prepare healthy and nutritious food in the outdoors. The Green Light Trust team are experts in teaching, forestry & bushcraft - and the sessions are carefully planned so that children will benefit from the restorative power of nature, learn new skills, and connect with peers and their natural surroundings. Throughout the year, GLT also provides wellbeing and educational programmes to help children and young people to refocus, rebuild their lives and thrive. They offer vital support to children and young people who need a ‘natural alternative’ to mainstream education, as well as those with mental health issues and other challenges.
