A summary
**NOTE: BURSARY PLACES AVAILABLE, JUST AS FOR WOLF PACK ITSELF - PLEASE ENQUIRE** This 5-day trip in spring is both a reunion for graduates of previous Wolf Pack programmes, and also an opportunity to take their outdoors skills to a new level in a special mountainous environment - the gorgeous Lake District. It will be just like the Wolf Pack expeditions you fondly remember, but longer and higher and generally more heroic. Continue your progress towards being a ninja in the wild, or dust off your old skills you have left on the shelf since Wolf Pack (how could you!). Experiences build on each other, so keep building! Travel once again with old friends, and meet new ones who have shared the Wolf Pack experience with you, just at a different time. The provisional dates for the 2025 expedition are 6 - 10 April (Sun to Thurs) and / or 12 - 16 April (Sat to Weds).. COST - £475 (equivalent to c.£85 per day) What's included: food (during the hike) and group equipment Not included: Personal kit, transport costs (train and bus) and hostel accommodation on the first night (see below) LOGISTICS The aim is to travel by train as a group and then use the bus once in the Lake District. So that we can hike a more epic route with lighter packs and guaranteed dry shelter, this year we are going to stay each night in youth hostels rather than wild camp in spring, which has the potential for spicy weather and noticeably heavier packs on the hillside. I will provide a clear budget for the youth hostel accommodation, train tickets, bus fares and any meals / snacks outside the time on the hill. Initial estimate is c. £180 in total. Outline itinerary: DAY 1: Meet at St Pancras at c. 12pm (or meet me earlier at East Grinstead). Train to Windermere, then bus into Lake District. Night spent at a Youth Hostel with dinner and then brekkie the next morning DAY 2: Bus to starting point, start hiking DAY 2-5: Hike through the best place in England / world, 3 more nights in youth hostels DAY 5: Hike out in the morning, bus back to Windermere, train back to St Pancras by late afternoon/early evening
About your mentor
Chris Packe
Wild guide
Chris spent 15 years in investment banking, followed by 10 years in the woods. He is particularly fired up by running events and programmes that relate to men / fathers, and to teenagers. This comes to life as nature-based youth mentoring programmes – year courses for teens such as Wolf Pack for Boys and for Girls (13-15 years) and Call to Adventure (boys aged 11-13 years), as well as Feral Fathers (feisty weekend events for fathers and sons / daughters) and convening a monthly men’s fire circle (since 2015). In addition, he does work that is variously described as coaching, mentoring and guiding (he is a qualified hill walking guide, and an archery instructor), and also sketch comedy, writing, cartooning and songwriting. Chris also finds himself owning a piece of woodland - a place to work, experiment and often to just go to alone and sleep in. He lives in Forest Row and has two children.
Other things I offer
These are the other programmes and events I run, which can all be found here on eequ: Adventurous programmes for teenagers and nearly-teenagers: Wolf Pack for Girls (aged 13-16 / Year 9 - 11) Wolf Pack for Boys (aged 13-16 / Year 9 - 11) Call to Adventure for Boys (aged 11-13 / Year 8 & 9) Lively woodland camps: Feral Fathers (dads and sons, or dads and daughters, or dads and both) Outlaws (4 day summer camp for boys & girls aged 11-14 / Year 7 - 9) Woodland archery: 5-hour immersive sessions for private groups on request

Cancellation Policy
This event will run if a minimum number of participants is reached for it to be viable. Therefore, cancellations and refunds are problematic, as they can cause the event to no longer be viable, yet the provider is committed to it. Therefore, refunds cannot be given to bookers who cancel after 31 January, although Chris Packe may always exercise discretion in special circumstances.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
