What we'll do
We will be leading a day of visual arts and BSL such as: colourful drawings of a new year fireworks display, and a pencil sketch of a horse - the lunar animal for 2026. We will also be using this as an opportunity to showcase work made by young people in previous HAF sessions. In addition, there will be some British Sign Language learning with a Deaf tutor and fun BSL games. All materials and tuition is included and our resources have been specially created in-house to ensure it is truly bespoke. Our programme has been created in consultation with young people and all our staff have attended necessary training to ensure young people are kept safe at all times. We encourage young people to use their imaginations and facilitate their own self expression - we are a very supportive team and don't judge or score the work that is created by the young people. Lunch is included and there will be opportunity to use the nearby football pitches for exercise at lunchtimes. These sessions are very well supported by fun, talented, trained and compassionate staff & volunteers.
