What we'll do
Each week we’ll rehearse our own version of a play, ending with an afternoon performance for family and friends. Packed with drama games, improvisation, line-learning, story-telling, rehearsals, movement, possibly even some stage fighting… Our fun-filled and activity drama clubs in the holidays are designed to get you up on your feet and making theatre. They’re also a great way to build confidence and meet some new friends! PLAY - Wind in the Willows: Meet Mole, a curious young adventurer, who decides to leave their cosy underground home to explore the big, wide world above. Along the way, they befriends the wise Water Rat, who takes Mole under their wing, and the wildly entertaining Mr. Toad, whose love for fast motorcars leads them all into a whirlwind of fun and unexpected challenges. Through drama, crafts, and storytelling, we’ll bring this classic tale to life, discovering friendship, bravery, and adventure together! STAFF Every session is led by two member of staff from a theatre background, who have trained as professional actors and can offer industry insights. Sessions include direction from a professional Fight Director.

About your mentors
Guildford Shakespeare Company
Love theatre and drama? Come take part!
Guildford Shakespeare began with a simple mission to create exceptional theatre in extraordinary places. By re-igniting people’s passion for theatre-going we've sought to break down the boundaries that preclude participation, encouraging inclusivity and accessibility for everyone. The GSC Outreach and Education department work with some 24,000 people, young and old, across the region, in a variety of settings. A large part of this work is aimed at improving engagement for socially excluded groups and the least advantaged in our community. Projects range from primary after-school clubs to programmes for families with teenagers living with mental health challenges and Young Carers
Georgie
Fun comes first!
I come from a dancing background; it was competing in the lyrical category that first drew me to acting as a craft. For the last 10 years I've trained and worked in the industry, on a variety of projects and roles (favourite: a month-long residency at the Globe in 2024!). I earned my master's degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and was able to hone many other skills besides acting whilst I was there. I also learned from a number of vastly different practitioners and am excited to put what I took from them into practice as a drama teacher myself!
Rob
Education Manager
