A summary
This new series of exciting workshops focuses on a range of woodworking, whittling and willow weaving skills. The aim of the groups are to progressively build up the skills of young learners whilst making a series of group projects to benefit the forest school and play opportunities as well as smaller projects to take home. Amongst these will be bird feeders, a wildlife habitats, wooden boats, gnomes and fairie homes as well as simple willow decorations and flat woven trays. Younger siblings welcome to attend this family group though tool use and projects will be catering for learners 6 and above. We expect a grown up to attend alongside the child. In future there may be an opportunity to drop off once the group is established.

I love being out in nature and always find myself satisfyingly tired at the end of a day in the woods. I'm keen to encourage everyone to enjoy outdoor fun and like showing parents how to facilitate individual and independent exploration giving them confidence to support their children. I enjoy incorporating my Steiner early years teaching background filled with songs, craft and story inspiration.
