Who we recommend this sports camp is for
Children and young people with higher-level SEND needs who require structured and low-stimulation environments to safely engage in movement and physical activity. - Requires close adult support for communication needs, understand instructions and engage in activities safely - Children who experience frequent dysregulation, particularly triggered by: noise levels, unstructured environments, large or unpredictable groups - Children who benefit from reduced group sizes/or quieter breakout spaces - Children who benefit from attending in consecutive days to get familiar with their surroundings - Children who show anxiety in busy environments which leads to behaviours that may challenge (eg. biting, hair pulling) - Seek sensory experiences through movement - Need flexible participation (in and out of activities) - Children who need co-regulation from adults - Children who need 1:1 or high staff ratios - Children who need support with transitions between activities - Children who need staff to adapt activities quickly at the child's pace If you feel your child does not fit this profile, we recommend looking into our White Lodge Inclusive Sport Camp which also support SEND needs.
