Unplug & Explore: Forest School for Teens block mentored by Wayfinders Education CIC
What we'll do
A full day of outdoor adventure, Forest School activities and campfire cooking for ages 11–16. Young people take part in team games, nature-based challenges and hands-on learning, including building and managing a fire safely. In small groups, they plan, prepare and cook a shared meal and dessert using simple ingredients, learning real-life skills along the way. The day also includes crafts, free exploration such as den building and tree climbing, and time to relax and connect with others. Designed to build confidence, independence and teamwork in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

At Wayfinders, we offer a small-group Forest School days where children can learn, explore, and build confidence in nature. Our sessions are designed with small groups, creating a supportive environment where every child is known and encouraged to thrive. Rooted in a Forest School ethos, we focus on outdoor, hands-on experiences, from campfire cooking to nature-based play and creative activities. Allowing teens to develop key life skills like teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, and self-awareness, all in a relaxed, low-pressure setting. This isn’t just a summer activity, it’s a chance to unplug, make friends, and grow in independence while enjoying the freedom of the forest.
