A summary
Come and join our early session at Astra. Young people will have opportunity to speak to youth worker's, spend time with your friends or even make new friends! While on these sessions they will also have an opportunity to see what else the youth centre has to offer! Astra youth centre has lots of fun things for young people to participate including - an art activity (bracelet making/ painting/ drawing/tie dying etc), darts, pool table football, air hockey, internet access via WIFI or desktop computers, gaming on X box or Switch 2, VR headsets, board games and if we have it and it's not out we are always willing to give it a go! Hot food, snacks and drinks are provided in every session.

Youth Centre for 10 to 24 year olds
Astra Youth Centre provides a safe, structured environment for young people to socialise, develop essential life skills and access mentorship. The youth service offers essential support to young people, providing them a safe place, trusted relationships improving mental health and boosting long-term educational/career outcomes in vulnerable neighbourhoods. Regular attendance links to improved physical health and better mental health. Our youth centre offers a space to foster confidence, self-advocacy and emotional resilience. The values in youth work aim to empower young people and involve them in decision making. Working on a voluntary basis when young people are provided with a positive force for development when provided with the knowledge and opportunities they need to thrive.
