Trip to Belmont Estate block mentored by St Mary Redcliffe PCC (Redcliffe Hub)

What we'll do

We will have an amazing nature experience in this exclusive Belmont Estate where we will explore Watercress Farm and the multiple nature areas and truly experience nature at its finest. We will meet Animals, have the opportunity for Woodland/Forest Play and have lunch and snacks around the Camp Fire surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodland. You will be provided with a lunch and snacks (Dietary/Allergen appropriate) Weather suitable clothes are a necessity. We will be outside regardless of the weather/season. We recommend layers of clothing to keep warm/cool. Long trousers and sleeves are required in all weathers, a waterproof and windproof outer layer is essential and shoes suitable for walking/No open toe sandals. There will be an opportunity for River play so please bring a full spare set of clothes if your children or yourselves are likely to play in the river. Wellies/Wellington boots will be great if you have some, there will be some available at Belmont Estate for those which don't. We will be travelling by coach, pick up and drop off will be at Redcliffe Hub at location shown. Shaping Redcliffe with Redcliffe

Redcliffe Hub's Strategy outlines our overall objective to create a community where people living in Redcliffe believe that they can shape the environment around them. To achieve this, we aim: • For people in Redcliffe to have a sense of ownership, belonging and safety. • Where there is a local culture of people connecting with each other and having a sense of connection to the area. • For SMR to ‘lead from the back’, encouraging and supporting local people to create the environment they want. Our support for children and young people currently includes a weekly youth group, sports projects, an after-school tuition and reading programme, targeted Boys/Girls Groups, play sessions for asylum seekers and activities throughout the school holidays. Our approach is to deliver youth services in spaces and places familiar to children and young people in Redcliffe, were they feel a sense of safety and belonging. All our projects involve people from Redcliffe in the planning and delivery so that children and young people build long-term trusted community-based relationships with adults and peers that are easily accessible and relatable to them.
