What we'll do
These sessions are for Children and young people, living in Milton Keynes with an EHCP, funded through EHCP+. ✨ The atmosphere is welcoming, calm, and designed to encourage creativity at every ability level. Each session begins with a gentle introduction, where staff or facilitators explain the day’s activities using clear, simple language, visual prompts, and, when needed, tactile demonstrations. Children are invited to choose their materials, whether it’s clay, paint, brushes, coloured pencils, or craft supplies, giving them a sense of autonomy and excitement about the creative process. ✨ Pottery activities allow children to explore clay with their hands, molding, shaping, and experimenting with textures. The tactile nature of clay offers sensory benefits, helping children improve fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination while engaging their sense of touch in a soothing, hands-on way. ✨ The freedom to explore without fear of “doing it wrong” fosters self-expression and builds confidence, while the sensory experience of touching paint and feeling the brush glide across paper or canvas is both stimulating and calming. ✨ By the end of the session, children not only have a tangible piece of artwork to take home but also experience the joy of creating, the pride of accomplishment, and the confidence that comes from exploring their imagination in a safe, supportive environment. Flexicourt Care provide vital respite care and tailored support for children, young people, and adults with special needs within the community. We offer a safe, inclusive environment where individuals can develop confidence, social skills, and independence through structured activities and personalised care
