A summary
Join the Beatsabar Summer Music Project, an exciting five-week Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme for young people aged 9–16. Every day, participants will create original beats, write and record songs, produce podcasts, film music videos and develop performance skills in a fun, professional music studio environment. Young people become producers, artists and performers, creating original beats, songs and music videos before performing at the Summer Showcase. Through rhythm and rhyme, children will explore positive themes such as healthy living, sustainability, and creative expression in a fun, supportive environment.

Beatsabar Music Project CIC
Record...Rehearse...Learn
Beatsabar Music Project is equipped with two recording studios and a rehearsal space. We offer enrichment activities to young people facing complicated situations, host music-based workshops for various age groups and abilities during holidays, and provide commercial bookings for professional recording artists. Over the past 10 ½ years, Beatsabar has been a prominent community recording studio in Wolverhampton, collaborating with schools, PRUs, youth intervention groups, charities and probation services. We've played a vital role in helping talented individuals acquire new skills, training, and employment opportunities.
Time Schedule
10:00 – 10:20 Welcome & Registration Sign-in, breakfast snack (if provided), icebreakers, daily challenge and introduction to the day's music theme. 10:20 – 11:00 Move to the Beat Dance fitness, performance warm-ups, team games or football to ensure 30–40 minutes of moderate physical activity. 11:00 – 11:45 Beat Lab Learn beat making using music production software, sampling, drum programming and rhythm creation. 11:45 – 12:30 Songwriting Studio Write original songs or themed songs focusing on topics such as healthy lifestyles, friendships, aspirations, anti-bullying, community or mental wellbeing. 12:30 – 1:00 Healthy Lunch Nutritious meal meeting School Food Standards with discussions around healthy eating, hydration and healthy lifestyles. 1:00 – 1:45 Recording Studio Record vocals, rap, spoken word and harmonies while developing microphone technique and confidence. 1:45 – 2:20 Creative Media Produce podcasts, design album artwork, film music videos, create promotional content or rehearse performances. 2:20 – 2:50 Performance Rehearsal & Showcase Preparation Practice songs, develop stage presence, teamwork and confidence ready for the final Beatsabar Showcase. 2:50 – 3:00 Reflection & Awards Celebrate achievements, review learning, daily certificates or shout-outs, preview tomorrow's activities and home time.
