Looking for exciting, free activities for the kids this summer? Come and join us at The Vench, Lockleaze’s open-access adventure playground — a vibrant space where children can play, create, explore, and thrive! Session Times: Play Sessions (Ages 8–12) Monday to Friday | 10:00 – 14:00 Under 8s welcome with a parent or carer Youth Sessions (Ages 12–16) Tuesdays | 15:00 – 17:00 What’s On? Every day brings something new! Children can dive into a range of hands-on, outdoor activities designed to spark imagination and build confidence: Arts & Crafts – Paint, sculpt, create nature art and more Sports & Games – Football, rounders, obstacle courses and team fun Outdoor Free Play – Climb, dig, splash and run wild Den Building & Nature Trails – Use natural materials to build and explore Tuesdays are extra special! Life Cycle joins us with bike skills, fun cycling games & learn-to-ride help Steve England leads nature adventures: bug hunts, bushcraft & wild crafts Healthy Meals Included Children receiving free school meals enjoy a free healthy lunch and snack. Others are welcome with a suggested donation of £2. No need to book – just turn up and play! Whether it’s getting messy with clay, zooming on a bike, or building the ultimate den, The Vench is the place to be this summer. Let your child’s imagination run free – see you there!
