What we'll do
From the moment children arrive, they’ll be greeted with big smiles and jump straight into the fun! One minute they might be building a giant marble run or crafting a rocket out of cardboard, the next they’re zooming down the outdoor slide or racing through an obstacle course made from loose parts. Inside, they could be mixing up glittery slime, painting a giant group mural, or baking chocolate chip muffins in the kitchen. There are LEGO challenges, and even sensory play with coloured rice and squishy foam. For those who love action, there’s dodgeball in the sports area, scooter races outside, and epic water balloon battles on sunny days. All activities are adapted so everyone can take part, with staff who are caring, experienced, and genuinely love what they do. Your child will laugh, learn, and leave every session with stories to tell and paint on their sleeves. Unfortunately, we are full for children requiring a higher level of support

About your mentor
The Log Cabin Charity
Inclusive play where all young people grow
The Log Cabin Charity is an inclusive, independently run organisation based in Ealing, London. It provides affordable after-school clubs, weekend sessions, holiday playschemes, and short breaks for children and young people aged 4–15 with additional needs or disabilities, alongside their mainstream peers. The charity offers a safe and supportive space where children can play freely, build friendships, and grow in confidence through a range of indoor and outdoor activities. With a strong focus on specialist SEN support and inclusive play, the Log Cabin nurtures resilience, creativity, and community belonging.
Ensuring you're child has the right level of support
If a child applying has Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), we will arrange a telephone assessment with the parent or carer to ensure we understand the child’s individual needs and can plan the appropriate level of support. Please note, we are full for children requiring 1:1 support. To help us provide the best possible care, we may also request relevant supporting documents, such as an annual review or support plan, from the child’s school or educational setting.
Learning aim
Aim 1
Attendees may have developed greater confidence in social settings, built lasting friendships, and learned how to communicate and play cooperatively with others.
