Our Pack Leaders will be at the gate to welcome you. What should my mini-hooman bring? Please bring a water bottle and weather-appropriate clothing (comfortable shoes and outdoor clothing that can get messy) If your child wants to bring a toy, game or comforter we will do our best to keep it safe but can't be held responsible for loss or damage. Do children need to like dogs? No, but children should feel comfortable being around friendly, well-trained dogs. Our team will always supervise interactions to ensure everyone feels safe and relaxed. Our dogs are trained to therapy level, small in size and up to date with all vaccinations and treatments. If your child is a bit anxious about dogs, we would be happy to meet before HAF to help them feel less anxious What food is provided? All mini-hoomans will receive healthy food and snacks during the session. Children will also take part in preparing their own picnic with our Food Dudes. For children with food SEN, ARFID or food intollerance / allergies please note on your booking and we will be in touch to tailor food to meet their needs. You can also choose to bring your own packed lunch if it makes things easier for you. What if my child prefers quieter activities? The "Pastoral Pack" is for children who may prefer calmer activities or need regulation, time out or a slower pace during main activities. One of our specialist and qualified SEN team will call you once our booking is received to understand your child's needs, triggers and techniques they use to help them feel calm. Your child may be offered 1:1 support or alternative activities including the SEN tent, "Reading with Rufus" the therapy dog, or gentle baking activities with the "Bark & Bake" dogs & caterers. Are staff trained and DBS checked? Yes. All sessions are delivered by experienced staff who follow safeguarding procedures to ensure children have a safe and enjoyable experience. We always have paediatric first aiders on every activity and peer -mentors who are trained to spot any potential issues, challenges before they escalate. What if my child has additional needs?
