What we'll do
The Cube Cooking Session for Kids Fun • Inclusive • Hands-On Learning At Cube, our kids' cooking sessions are all about creativity, confidence, and community—all stirred together with a pinch of fun! What Happens in a Session: Warm Welcome & Aprons On: Children are greeted and given their own apron and name badge. Staff create a friendly, supportive environment where every child feels part of the group. Introduction to the Day's Recipe: From fruity kebabs to mini pizzas or rainbow wraps, our recipes are chosen to be simple, safe, and exciting. Children learn what ingredients they’ll use and explore the smells, textures, and colors. Let’s Get Cooking! With guided, step-by-step support, children: Wash, chop (with child-safe tools), mix, or roll ingredients Learn basic kitchen hygiene and safety Use communication tools like picture cards if needed Work individually or in small buddy groups for teamwork Tasting Time: Once their creations are ready, everyone gathers to try what they’ve made—building pride and encouraging positive food experiences. Clean Up & Certificates: Kids help with the tidy-up and receive a fun certificate or sticker to celebrate what they’ve achieved. Designed For: Children of all abilities Those with additional needs (sensory-friendly, communication support in place) Ages typically 8–16, with groupings depending on need Skills Built: Independence and confidence Social interaction and teamwork Healthy eating habits Fine motor and practical life skills
