A summary
Learners will explore a range of introductory textiles surface decoration and fibre techniques through practical, hands-on activities. The course covers wax resist (batik-style), fabric printing and pattern, mono and relief printing, wet felting, and the creative combination of textile processes. Sessions focus on experimentation with colour, texture, pattern and materials, encouraging personal choice and creative risk-taking. The emphasis is on understanding techniques and processes rather than producing a finished outcome, with opportunities for reflection and discussion throughout.
