A summary

Teen Gym is a supportive and structured gym-based programme designed to help young people across Halton develop confidence, routine, and lifelong healthy habits within a safe gym environment. The programme provides young people with an opportunity to learn how to train properly, understand the basics of strength and conditioning, and build a positive relationship with physical activity that can support their health for years to come.

Delivered in a welcoming and inclusive setting, sessions are carefully coached and structured to ensure young people feel comfortable regardless of their starting ability or experience. Participants are supported to develop physical fitness, teamwork, social skills, and personal confidence, while also learning how to use gym equipment safely and effectively.

Alongside the gym-based training, the programme also creates space for young people to relax and connect with others through additional activities such as pool, darts, table tennis and football. This combination of structured exercise and social activity helps create a positive environment where young people can stay active, build friendships, and feel part of a supportive commun
