Summer Holidays 2026! St Joseph's, Ross block mentored by St Joseph's Holiday Club

What we'll do

We have lots of fun at holiday club! Every day there is a wide variety of games and activities to choose from throughout the sessions, including painting, art work, quizzes, construction activities and games. We have two extended outdoor activity sessions each day as well as a special daily focused activity. Over the four weeks, our club these activities will include: cooking and baking, arts and crafts, (including clay construction and sculpture work), forest school sessions, outdoor water games and much more! We will also have special visit days from the Tudor House Museum, with Sports and Art specialists also visiting throughout the dates.

I have been the Nursery manager of St. Joseph's school and Nursery for the past 5 years. I enjoy working with children of all ages and creating fun memories together!

I have worked in primary schools as a teacher and teaching assistant for over 20 years. I love sport, languages and all things creative.

How our day works

We run our club from 9am-3pm in the school sports hall, which is at the far end of the school car park. Please come to the door, and we will greet you on arrival. End of day pick up is from the same door. Please note that the car park gates will be locked from 9.15am until 2.45pm, a contact telephone number will be displayed on the gate should you need to collect early for any reason. Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day. As we spend a proportion of each day outdoors, please could all children bring a hat (and a change of clothes if possible), having had sun cream applied before being dropped off. We are looking forward to seeing you!

Learning aims

Aim 1

To learn about healthy eating through developing cooking skills. To experience a range of activities both indoors and outdoors. To design and create 3D artwork using a range of skills, including sculpture, printing, computing and craft work. To learn new sports skills.

Aim 2

To work collaboratively, completing games and team challenges. To make new friends.

Aim 3

To understand about how to look after our environment through forest school activities, gardening and outdoor natural art projects.
