Our curriculum
Our Devon County Council Secondary age HAF Programme provides a great chance for children to make new friends, and connect with our friendly, knowledgeable staff. The meeting point for all trips will be Culm Valley Sports Centre in Cullompton. Our trips are available to all families who's children receive benefit related FSM. We provide a meal daily to keep everyone energised. Come and enjoy a fun packed experience with us this Summer. Week 1) Aug 6th Crealy Theme Park Aug 7th Tarr Steps (Exmoor) Week 2) Aug 13th Butlins Day Trip Aug 14th Wild Wood (Ottery St Mary) Week 3) Aug 20th Lyme Regis Beach Trip Aug 21st Week 4) Aug 27th Aug 28th * Lunch provided, along with snacks and drinks

Healthy Appetite & Activities
Helping children make new friends whilst having fun.
Here at Healthy Appetite & Activities, we’re ready to support you with your Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. We can help by delivering an amazing experience, adding value and reducing your costs to operate the programme across most of the UK. ​We have identified that “School Partnerships are the key to increasing the number of spaces available at each of our venues, our team are experienced in building relationships with key stake holders within schools, and developing working relationships with practitioners/liaison officers and the emergency services. Our experienced management team can help Local Authorities deliver all aspects of the HAF programme, with the advantage we have already completed it before, with demonstrated success during Easter 2025. ​We actively encourage an allotted time for family activities”/enrichment activities” as part of our HAF programme to ensure the whole family can attend our inclusive provision. Online Booking Service We are big believers in providing a personable booking service for families wishing to book on to our HAF programme. Our experienced team are to here to make the process suit everyone, whether it’s via email, text messages or phone bookings we can support those accessing our simple to use online bookings platform. ​Our Booking System has the ability to collate information such as; Gender, Age, Location, School attended, No of days attended across the programme, SEND requirements, food requirements/ allergies etc. We also have the facility to use data mapping to target heavily populated areas with high numbers of eligible families who receive “Benefit related FREE school meals”
Matt Zadel
Passionate and fun, always smiling!!
Healthy appetite and Activities was founded in 2021 by Matt Zadel. After working with both adults and children through community and wellbeing projects, as well as football. Matt decided that along with his sports coaching qualifications and keen interest in working with children, he had both the business acumen and drive to create a successful 'Community based coaching company' of his own. The company now employs almost thirty qualified coaches working across Devon & Somerset, each 'Head Coach' is responsible for managing the companies venues and the day to day activities throughout the school holidays.
Why this is useful
Each day we meet at Culm Valley Sports Centre, Meadow Lane, Cullompton, EX15 1LL April 6th Easter Monday Trip 1) Exeter City Vs Doncaster Rovers 3pm Kick Off Meet in car park at 1pm Culm Valley Sports Centre Collection at same place at 6pm * If you would prefer to meet at the ground, here is the address St James Park, Stadium Way, Exeter, EX4 6PX Please contact Matt nearer time to confirm times etc. Rescheduled from 9th to April 16th Trip 2) Woodlands Theme Park Meet at Culm Valley Sports Centre 10am, collection from same place at 6pm (Mini Bus provided) * Please ensure your child brings dry clothes to change into, and they are dressed appropriately on the day
What we'll do
Trips are completely FREE for those families who's children are eligible. All children will receive both snacks/drinks and food to cover either lunch or dinner depending on the times of the activity/trip. Children can attend from anywhere in Devon, * If you can either transport your children to our meeting points or to the trip on the appointed date.
