A summary
Looking for a fun, active, and completely free way to spend time together as a family this Summer? Come along to The Freedom Centre for an exciting session of Family Sports, a community event designed to bring families together through movement, teamwork, and plenty of laughter. Whether you’re looking to try something new, burn off some energy, or simply enjoy a day out with the kids, this session has something for everyone. One of the highlights of the event is a lively game of Dodgeball, a favourite for both children and adults. It’s fast, it’s energetic, and it’s guaranteed to get everyone smiling. Our qualified gym instructor and friendly support team will be there to guide the activities, making sure that all games are safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for every age group and ability level. You don’t need any previous experience — just turn up ready to have fun. As part of our commitment to supporting families in Hull, all sessions are completely free of charge. To make the day even easier, lunch and a bottle of water are included, so you can focus on enjoying the activities without worrying about bringing food or refreshments. Everything is provided for you. This event is proudly sponsored by Healthy Holidays Hull and the Department for Education, organisations dedicated to helping children and families stay active, healthy, and connected during school breaks. Their support allows us to offer high‑quality, accessible activities that bring the community together and encourage positive wellbeing. Because these sessions are popular and spaces fill up quickly, booking is essential. We don’t want you or your family to miss out on this fantastic opportunity, so make sure to secure your place as soon as possible. It’s a brilliant chance to get moving, meet other families, and enjoy a memorable day of sports and fun at The Freedom Centre. Join us this Summer for an unforgettable Family Sports session — a perfect blend of activity, community spirit, and free family entertainment. We can’t wait to welcome you.
