Library: Sudbury Library, Market Hill, Sudbury CO10 2EN 23 December: Design and Print Your Own T-Shirt with Designer Holly Scholfield 30 December: Mood Books: Create Your Own Book Using Collage and Graphic Design with Artist Michelle Brace Workshop details: Tuesday 23 December 2025 09:30am - 15:30pm Design and Print Your Own T-Shirt with Designer Holly Scholfield Join artist and designer Holly Scholfield and learn how to make your own printing block, explore stencil making for screen printing and create exciting patterns you can print on t-shirts. In this workshop we will be exploring different methods of printing - the traditional craft of block printing using the technique of lino cutting as well as stencil printng. Drawing and creating their own designs, students will carve blocks using the tools, make paper stencils and repeat patterns that can be printed onto fabric and paper. Please feel free to bring in any old t-shirts/fabrics or items of your own from home that you might like to upcycle. Come and have a fun and busy day of printing! About Holly: Holly Scholfield is a freelance artist, designer and teacher. Her expertise lies printmaking, drawing and textiles, with a particular interest in pattern and chaos. A love of drawing in museums and the natural world inspires new work. Through historical research, she makes intensely coloured work that is quietly feminist, rooted in both the past and the present. Holly trained at Central St Martins in Fine Art and then completed an MA at NUA specialising in print and textiles. She regularly exhibits her work, has shown in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and illustrates for publications. Tuesday 30 December 2025 09:30am - 15:30pm Mood Books: Create Your Own Book Using Collage and Graphic Design with Artist Michelle Brace Work with collage, text, digital drawing and mixing to create your very own ‘Mood Book’ to express your dreams & wishes for the year ahead! We will be sticking coloured and textured papers and collaged images together onto an A3 board to create the background for your book using graphic design app Procreate. Your design will also be printed out to make a physical copy of your 'Mood Book' to take home with you. You will be able to add a title and any finishing touches to your ‘Mood Book’ using acrylic markers, drawing pens, cut up text and collage details. Bring your ideas, feelings, and wishes so they can find their shape on this session’s Blank Page. About Michelle: Michelle is a digital and media artist who uses moving image, natural materials, collage, mark making, text and photographic textures to build colourful visual compositions for digital media platforms and live projection. Michelle has a wealth of experience as a creative project producer, engagement coordinator and facilitator with regional arts organisations, and holds a degree in Arts Practice & the Community from Middlesex University. Her work continues to have a community focus with a current emphasis on developing her creative practice to support mental health and wellbeing.
