Library: Stowmarket Library, Milton Road North, Stowmarket, IP14 1EX 8 April: Creative Writing Workshop with Writer Poppy Stevens This is a writing workshop with a difference. No previous poetry writing experience necessary. This workshop will equip you with the skills to harness your creativity and get started. So, what can you expect from this workshop? Some games, some writing, some crafting/making and a whole lot more. You will come away with a beautifully decorated poem, as well as a bunch of creative prompts to continue your creativity at home. As well as this we will be creating a daisy chain display for the library. These daisies might feature poems, positive affirmations or compliments to plant a seed of kindness for library users. About Poppy: Poppy Stevens is a community arts practitioner, poet and performer. Her writing has been commissioned and published by The National Centre for Writing, The Young Norfolk Arts Trust, TOAST Poetry, BBC Radio Norfolk & Suffolk & Atrium poetry. Poppy works within the community delivering creative workshops to a diverse range of people. Her work with children spans from EYFS to Key Stage 4 both in schools, alternative provisions, and community settings. Poppy runs a regular dyslexia inclusive writing club. These courses focus on taking the fear out of reading and writing and instead celebrate imagination, creativity, and storytelling. As someone with dyslexia, Poppy understands the importance of creating non-judgemental spaces for young neurodivergent people to express their ideas. 9 April: Eco Printmaking Workshop with Designer Holly Schofield Join artist and designer Holly Scholfield for this free creative workshop for 10–16-year-olds! Spend the day experimenting with printmaking, make your own printing block, explore screen printing and create exciting designs to turn into beautiful garlands. Taking inspiration from your favourite books, folk tales, sport, patterns, nature, the choice is endless, we will use monoprint and drawing to develop designs. Throughout the day students can choose to try the traditional craft of block printing using the technique of lino cutting, students will carve blocks using the tools, they can also try screen printing with paper stencils and repeat patterns. Come and have a fun and busy day of printing! Wear old clothes as we might get messy! About Holly: Holly Scholfield is a freelance artist, designer and teacher. Her expertise lies printmaking, drawing and textiles, with a particular interest in pattern and chaos. A love of drawing in museums and the natural world inspires new work. Through historical research, she makes intensely coloured work that is quietly feminist, rooted in both the past and the present.   Holly trained at Central St Martins in Fine Art and then completed an MA at NUA specialising in print and textiles. She regularly exhibits her work, has shown in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and illustrates for publications.

Eloise
Digital Artist & Librarian
I'm Eloise! I'm a freelance artist specialising in Digital Art & Stylized Illustration. My initial inspiration to draw came from being immersed in stories from graphic novels, anime, and video games. I've also been drawing digitally since I was young so I've become quite savvy with it! I've since explored all sorts of different artstyles and methods, but I always come back to the styles that inspired me to draw in the first place, and I want to support young artists in creating from their own inspiration in my Blank Page workshops! I'm also a Librarian at Stowmarket Library and will be supporting other awesome artists in these workshops! I'm happy to bounce back and help fuel any of your wonderfully creative ideas =) In my free time, as well as playing video games and reading (obviously), I enjoy fashion and am learning to crochet.
