Join us for an exhilarating hands-on STEM experience brought to you by Oracle Red Bull Racing's STEMx Learning programme, in a specialist partnership with Milton Keynes College. Dive into the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths through engaging activities and interactive learning. A Special Invitation to Home Educators! **Please note, you are only required to book a ticket for your child(ren) who will be participating in the workshop. If you are a parent/carer, you do not need to purchase a ticket but just confirm you are attending on the booking form.** We understand the unique learning environment home educators provide, and we're thrilled to offer a dedicated event for your children to experience the excitement of STEMx. This event provides a fantastic opportunity for your home-educated children to engage in hands-on STEM activities, fostering their curiosity and deepening their understanding. We've designed this event to be both educational and engaging. Step into the fast-paced world of Formula 1 and discover how STEM plays a critical role in the engineering, strategy, and technology behind every race. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store: - Hands-On Activities: Solve F1-inspired engineering and design challenges. - Behind-the-Scenes Insights: Explore how F1 teams leverage STEM to optimize every car and strategy. - Interactive Workshops: Fuel students' passion for innovation with F1-driven STEM learning. Don't miss this unique opportunity to inspire the next generation of innovators! Please note, we offer flexible attendance options. You can choose a full-day ticket or a half-day ticket for either the morning or afternoon session when booking. If there are no half-day tickets available, please contact stemx@mkcollege.ac.uk so we can allocate your ticket.

Learning aims
Aim 1
To use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly. To design and write code to program a device.
Aim 3
To investigate and analyse mechanical parts related to an F1 vehicle.
Aim 5
To develop knowledge surrounding the forces encountered in Formula One racing.
Aim 2
To build perseverance skills to overcome challenges demonstrate good sportsmanship.
Aim 4
To develop knowledge and understanding of materials and components used in engineering.
Aim 6
To acknowledge the use of media within sport and participate in a role play activity.
What you'll need
Parents and carers are welcome to stay for the event, please ensure to make this clear when booking a ticket. Parents/carers do not need to purchase a ticket to attend with their child(ren). Participants will need: • A water bottle (please ensure to have your child's name on the bottle) • A snack for break time • Packed lunch (please ensure it is named) • Suitable clothing for the weather (e.g. a coat or sun hat, etc) • Any medication they might need (e.g. inhalers, epipen, etc) The bar area will be open for snacks and soft drinks if you wish to purchase.
