What we'll do
Arts & Crafts Explore creativity, learn new artistic skills, and help transform our youth space through fun, collaborative arts and crafts. Unleash your creativity and help shape our brand-new youth space through our exciting Arts and Crafts Programme. These hands-on sessions give young people the opportunity to explore a wide range of creative techniques while contributing to the design and atmosphere of the youth centre itself. Working together, we will create large-scale collaborative artworks using a variety of mediums, producing unique pieces that will be proudly displayed throughout the space. Alongside these community art projects, young people will have the chance to develop new skills through activities such as clay modelling, origami, watercolour painting, wool crafts, mixed media art, and much more. Designed to encourage creativity, self-expression, teamwork and confidence, these sessions provide a fun and inclusive environment where participants can experiment with different art forms, develop their artistic abilities, and leave a lasting mark on a space they can truly call their own. Musical Mavericks Build musical skills, boost confidence, and express yourself through song writing, performance, and creative music-making. Discover your creativity and build confidence through our exciting Music Skills Programme, designed for young people of all abilities. From learning guitar, piano, keyboard and vocal techniques to writing and performing original songs, participants will develop practical musical skills in a fun, supportive environment. At the heart of the programme is Express-2-De-Stress: Musical Mavericks , a unique music and wellbeing initiative that combines music-making with self-expression, confidence building and emotional wellbeing. Through song writing, instrumental learning, performance opportunities and collaborative projects, young people are encouraged to explore their creativity, develop resilience, strengthen communication skills and express themselves in positive ways. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have musical experience, these engaging sessions provide the opportunity to grow as a musician, connect with others, and discover the power of music as a tool for personal development and self-belief. STEM – Science sessions These are interactive sessions will spire curiosity which will be led by a member of Fuse who is a qualified teacher ..Discover, experiment, and problem-solve through fun STEM activities that make science exciting and accessible. As their confidence and knowledge develop, young people will be encouraged to think like real scientists by planning and carrying out their own research projects and experiments. These engaging sessions promote curiosity, problem-solving, critical thinking and teamwork while helping young people develop a deeper understanding of science in a fun, supportive and accessible environment. Our sessions will include a hot meal ; these will include a chicken basket such as chicken bites and chips, toasties, paninis, chicken burgers or cheese burgers, jacket potatoes and vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options On some days, for example if it is a very warm day, a cold lunch will be provided and include sandwiches with meat, cheese and salad fillings.
