What we'll do

A TYPICAL DAY AT OUR VENUE On arrival you can park in the street bay areas or at the front of school in the small car park. There are also parking areas at the back of school, turning up Chilton Street then left on St Michael's Road. This leads to a car park in the Banklands area behind the church. You can then walk along the back path and down to the sports hall. Registration is in the sports hall foyer where your child will then be shown where to hang their coat and belongings. The first and last hours of our day (9am to 10am and 2pm to 3pm) are designated "free play" where your child has the choice of supervised activities such as arts and crafts, sport or even reading and quiet time. The hours of 10am to 2pm are our coaching hours and this is when the main activities will take place. CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES 22nd December: Team Games including Benchball, Netball, Handball & Basketball 23rd December: Tag Games and Dodgeball 5th January: Team Sports such as Football, UniHockey & Tag Rugby 6th January: Target Games such as Tri Golf, Boccia & Multi Skills We also have the following Dance & Drama Workshops: 22nd December: Polar Express with Mr Slack 5th January: Wicked: For Good with Miss Zoe We have a mid morning break (around 11am depending on the activity we are doing) for 15 minutes then lunch is usually from 12.30 to 1.00pm. Again, the lunch break timings are approximate depending on factors such as activity and numbers.

Where friendships are made

We are a team of local, school based teachers, teaching assistants, Dance/Drama teachers and sports coaches who have been providing high quality and affordable holiday activities for over ten years. We pride ourselves on ensuring children learn new skills, are safe, make new friends and have a good time whilst in our care. Our staff are led by our award winning community development officer David Wise who has over 20 years experience of working with children in schools and sports clubs. We also have award winning coaches on our team such as "Cricket Chris" Hodgson and our support staff have a wealth of experience of working with children in schools in the Workington area so the chances are that your children already know someone here which always helps them to settle in.

What you'll need

We have indoor and outdoor facilities for our activities and love to get outside when we can. It is essential that your child comes equipped for their day. This means having suitable drinks and snacks as well as suitable indoor and outdoor clothing and footwear for their day. We have a water cooler on site so once your child's bottle is empty we can refill it for them. A sunhat and sunscreen (applied at home and some in their bag for self application) is also essential when required. Our outdoor pitch is a sand based astro pitch and will not take a football stud. If doing Football based activities shin pads are advised too.

To teach skills relevant to the sport(s) and activities being taught. To encourage and nurture friendship and to ensure children enjoy a stimulating, safe and friendly environment.

Site Security

We pride ourselves on ensuring your children are safe whilst they are in our care. Once our sessions start we ensure all external gates and external doors are locked and coded and are only opened for pick up at the end of the day. We also have a brand new lockdown security system in operation for our activities.
